Mobile APN Connection Perfomance Testing Checklist

Mobile APN Connection Performance Testing Checklist

This checklist is designed to validate the system performance of mobile APN connections post-installation. It includes tests for internet speed, Care Pro server response time, and end-user system access under both normal and peak load conditions.

Checklist Items

Internet Speed Validation:

  • Use a network speed test tool to measure the performance of the mobile APN connection.
  • Verify download speeds meet the following benchmarks:
Facility Type  Minimum Bandwidth Requirement
Health Posts  10 Mbps
Medium Facilities  50 Mbps
High-Volume Facilities  100 Mbps

  • Verify upload speeds meet the following benchmarks:
Facility Type  Minimum Bandwidth Requirement
Health Posts  2 Mbps
Medium Facilities  10 Mbps
High-Volume Facilities  20 Mbps

  • Confirm latency is below 50 ms under optimal conditions.

Care Pro Server Response Time Validation:

  • Test server response time to CarePro.moh.gov.zm using ping or equivalent tools.
  • Ensure response time does not exceed 100 ms.
  • Record any deviations during normal and peak load conditions.

End-User System Access Testing:

  • Simulate real-world scenarios by testing access for multiple devices.
  • Validate seamless access to Care Pro EHR for all end-users.
  • Ensure no dead spots in Wi-Fi coverage within operational areas.

Network Failover Testing:

  • Confirm automatic failover activates seamlessly when the primary network is unavailable.
  • Ensure no loss of service during failover transitions.

Peak Load Testing:

  • Simulate peak traffic conditions to stress-test the system.
  • Verify network stability, speed, and latency under peak loads.

Monitoring and Documentation:

  • Enable SNMP and ICMP on routing devices for remote monitoring.
  • Verify network devices are visible on the Zabbix monitoring platform.
  • Document all test results, including screenshots or logs from testing tools.
  • Prepare a summary report detailing any issues and recommendations.
